Baton Rouge Real Estate: Adding Slab Granite Alone Doesn’t Fix A Dated Kitchen

http://www.accuratevg.com/ – Baton Rouge Real Estate: Adding Slab Granite Alone Doesn’t Fix A 1970’s Dated Kitchen. By dated I mean cosmetically out of today’s 2012 buyer taste.

This was a quick video I shot on-site and little time for editing. The situation is that I was there performing a listing appraisal because the home hadn’t sold after several months on the market. The sellers believe this home is updated and it’s not.

There’s several questions about this situation.

Older Dated Kitchen with Slab Granite Counters (still has old doors, hardware, color and wallpaper).

There’s the issue of should $15k be invested in that particular market? Kitchens are most important and it might help home to sell but seller may not get dollar for dollar return on that investment.

There’s got to be a $1000 to $2000 doors and hardware fixtures replacement that could quickly fix dated maybe? Anybody know?
