Here’s a video I found this morning of yesterday’s excitement in Denham Springs – the chemical fire off the heavily populated Eden Church Road. This caused a major traffic snarl, a driver or 2 to get distracted and hit another vehicle while watching the fire and home evacuations within 1 mile. I had no idea we had a chemical warehouse that dangerous in such a highly populated area and so close to the North Park Recreational Facilities….What were the Denham Springs Planning and Zoning Commissions thinking (or not thinking) when they permitted such a dangerous legal use in that area and so close to where the bulk of Denham Springs residents live? Makes one wonder!
